Not long ago, 3XRGB light kit was designed by some keyboard
enthusiasts to spice up the customized keyboard game,
especially for the novelty keycaps compatible with
backlighting. The designers use spectacular skills to attach
2/*1206 SMD LED to the surface of the switch combined
with the one regular switch LED to create the magical 3XLED
backlight. This is, however, quite cumbersome, and not quite
as accessible to most users.
Based on the community’s
instructions and feedback, we have created 4XRGB light kit.
The 4XRGB is installed between the PCB and the plate, the 4
SMD LEDs emit the lights, which shines through any
transparent switches (e.g., Tealios), and the effects on box
switches (with creamy bottom) are also great.
Here are
some pictures and videos of the actual products, and how
they look on novelty keycaps. This 4XRGB will no doubt take
your keyboard game to the next level.
Most of the PCBs
are compatible. Details of installation instructions will be
provided to users. A minimal level of soldering skills are
needed.
Original Designer and Manufacturer: Scott

Update: Scott designed and made some but the demand
is not high. Now Demo S has made an improved version if more
people will be interested. This will likely be available
along with the Think6.5V2 GB.
