GMK Wizardry
GMK Wizardry is my idea of what a
tri-colored keyset could look like.
It uses warm white
(CP) and black (N9) as base colors and three vibrant accent
colors: blue (N9), purple (DY) and red (RO2).
The color
scheme is taken from the DotA hero Invoker and WoW’s Mage
class.
They feature three elements with the accent
colors.
TODO List:
- Fix render colors (especially white)
- Fix render legends (to better match GMK legends)
- Fix modifiers to include icons
- Renders of popular layouts (60%, TKL, HHKB, 1800, FC660)
-
Novelty keycaps
Edit 9/9/17:
Duck Viper-esque style keyboard render:
What do you think about the new win logo? I think it would be a nice change. Also the alphas seem really bland to me here, will try out more in the coming weeks.
Edit 8/26/17:
New render. Corrected modifier legends. Overall colors are now closer to GMK’s color sample photographs.
Also used V1 as red for this, it seems to better fit the fire element to me, what do you think?
Edit 8/24/17:
More
I tried my hands on Blender to create a 3D render of a TKL
waering GMK Wizardry.
As this is very new for me I need
some time to get the colors right and Icons as well.
Probably
going with just Icon mods.
Edit 8/8/17:
More
I looked into more details like compatibility over the
weekend.
The following keys should support HHKB, 1800,
75%, US-ISO, UK-US-ISO Hybrid, WKL:
There are obvious errors left in the layout (\ and /#
ISO keys should be R3, one set of arrow keys should be
non-accented)
Question: Should this set support numpad?
It doesn’t seem to fit to me, maybe you guys have a
different opinion?
All the different colors for enters,
esc and HJKL seems a bit too much to me now, so I will
probably reduce them to a handful of sensable choices, if
you agree.
Edit 8/1/17:
More
Do you like the name GMK Wizardry? It’s basically the first
thing that came to mind, but now I’m thinking GMK Elements
would be more neutral and classic sounding, what do you
think?
