Hello everyone!
About a year ago I picked up an old
Xerox keyboard, that I think was from a Xerox 6085
system.
I really like the colorway and legends on it
and would like to bring it back to life and share it with
the community.
Here’s a picture of the set I have.
As you can see it’s AZERTY (and ALPS) and I can’t use
it.
So my plan is to make it for QWERTY (and Cherry
MX).
So far here is what I have for the TKL part of
it
It uses:
- Caliban Medium for the font legend (symbols are still being worked on)
- Off white for the alphas caps, with dark purple legends
-
Gray mods, with black legends
Right now the plan would be to use SP DCS profile caps that would be dye-sub printed (the orange Esc key will be a problem). I think that dye-sub will be the easiest and cheapest solution for this set seeing that it uses all custom legends, and SP seems to fit that bill.
As I said, everything is still a work in progress and things can and will change. But I would like to know what everyone thinks of the idea. So please don’t hesitate to leave a comment and your thoughts on this idea.
Thanks!
