Hi friends of Geekhack!
Finally, we can take our number series overseas!
If you have followed us before, you should be able to find that 3.0 has inherited many of our previous design languages. At the same time, we also hope that the new design can surprise you!

Full keyboard kit:
3.0 offers two styles of the top case for the full kit——–’HEART’ or ‘EYE’!
As shown below, the top is screen and the the bottom is led.
The screen can display gifs like a Matrix 6xv 2.0 Vita screen, but only about 80% the size of a vita.

Extra top case kit:
We will also offer extra case available to purchase, and there are 3 options available.

Structure:
3.0 supporting both gasket and top mount.
The typec position can be swapped left and right by flipping the decorative strips on the side.

We also set 3 screw holes that can be used screw pins to ensure the position of plate will not move

PCB:

Designed and developed by Astro;
Solder and hot swap options available;
Full RGB back light；
Progamable by updating the firmware (Due to the complex functions, Via or Vial are not supported);
Layout:*

3.0 offers WK and WKL layout.
The PCB will provide HS and solder options.

Plate:
Alu or PC.
Alu plate has the same flex cut as the Matrix ME plate. PC plate doesn’t has flex cut.
HS pcb can only use alu plate.

2. Weight (Blue and red part)*
Blue part is made in brass. Red part is made in alu, but can be upgraded to brass.
No upgrade: Random color matching for the weight decided by Matrix Lab
Upgrade: The whole weight will be in clear coat. Refer to the render below:

According to Prototypist’s price, EU customers will not pay the VAT at checkout, and then Prototypist willreach out to them afterwards giving them a chocie:

1.Prototypist will ship it and the customer can pay VAT on import later;
2.Prototypist charges them their countries VAT now and ship it so no tax is paid when it ships;
(I am very sorry if you are disappointed because there is no EU vendor, but all the vendors for this GB have now been determined, and there will be no new ones.)
GB time:
Unlimited GB starts from 10th to 17th March.
Estimated shipping time:
Q4 2022.
To do list:
We have contacted a few content creators to do stream building/ sound test, but due to the covid outbreak in Shenzhen/China, our proto making has been influenced a lot. I will try to get them to do the test before the GB ends.
