Case
The main case consists of 7 layers of 3mm
stacked acrylic, held in place by eight sex bolts, with an
additional 2 layers for the feet providing a slight angle.
The case itself measures 343 mm wide by 110 mm long
(slightly less wide than a TKL), and utilizes a sandwich
mount.
PCB
The PCB will be 1.6mm FR4, featuring a
design on both sides by
stellaidoscope. The PCB will only support original space invader
switches. I plan to offer a silk-less option for the less
cultured space invader enjoyers. Theres ESD protection, and
USB-C, the PCB uses an Atmega32u2. There will be
QMK/VIA/VIAL support.

Plates
I currently only plan to offer 1.2mm FR4
plates, if youd be interested in another material please
indicate on the IC form. The only compatible stabilizers are
original space invader plate mount stabs, and in order for
the switches to clip in the plate must be thinner than
usual.

Price - target price for this kit will be in the
ballpark of 100-150$ consisting of the case, PCB, plate, and
bolts.
This has been purely a personal passion project,
and I just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone
else would be interested before continuing to invest my time
in it.
Prototype Revisions
The prototype case and
PCB present no issues, although I did have some trouble with
the stabilizer spacing for the big ass enter on the plate. I
will be ordering a revised set of plates with adjusted
stabilizer cutouts, and slightly shrunken branding. This is
why the prototype photos arent fully built, and dont happen
to be using bolts.
