IC FORM!
DISCORD!
Maya is my take on the ever-popular F12 TKL layout. It features a gasket-mounted design and a cute little turtle logo above the arrow cluster.

Case

Maya comes standard in an aluminum top case, bottom case, plate, and accent piece. It also comes with 3 internal brass weights. The plate is isolated from the case using EPDM rubber grommets.
The case is angled 7 degrees and has a 21 mm front height (as measured from case bottom to case at keycap row 5). The top and bottom case have each been angled off in such a way as to give off a slightly rounded appearance, and are joined at an exaggerated seam. A unibody accent piece makes up the entire floor of the internals as well as the accented sections of the bottom of the keyboard.
Internal sound dampening has been tested, however, they will not be available during the group buy. Files for custom cutting foams or fabrics of your choosing will be available regardless.

Two colorways have been decided upon and prototyped, “FORGE” and “KANAGAWA.” If there is significant support for additional colorways, they will be considered.
Plate
As stated previously, the plate will come in aluminum by default. Half and full plates will be available. Additional plate materials, including all of the most popular alternate materials as well as some more obscure ones, are being tested at this time. FR4 has already made the cut due to its popularity and will be featured as an add-on.
Plate files will be made available soon before keyboards are shipped out to group buyers.
PCB
Maya uses a traditional F12 function row and is compatible with many popular F12 PCBs that support a daughterboard, including the Hiney H87. The bundled PCB designed by Lfgberg also supports a 10u spacebar and an ALPS EC-11 rotary encoder in the function row “ESCAPE” position for those who feel so inclined.

Note: Although the Maya PCB supports windows keys, Maya TKL itself will be Winkeyless only.
Prototypes
Here is a typing test for the second Maya TKL prototype. It’s been built with JWK Moss switches on an aluminum half plate.
Here are some pictures taken of second-round prototypes. Note that the red case may not be available during GB unless considerable demand is met.

Group Buy Info
Information subject to change

The group buy is slated to begin Q4 2021 or early Q1 2022.
Current minimum order quantity is 100 units, and a maximum of 200 units will be produced.
The target GB retail price is $450, however this is subject to change.
North American orders will be handled independently. If considerable demand is found outside of North America, proxies may be established.
