This is an interest check for the
Scenic/Serenity Deskmat Series; a simple
scenic backdrop to complement your keyboard (/*name
undecided)

Inspiration:
I hoped
to capture the peacefulness that one feels when you gaze
upon the beauty of nature.
Frankly, this style is quite
common and often used as a wallpaper (Firewatch x
/r/battlestations), however I wanted to do my own take,
where the composition has the sky specifically covering the
majority of canvas. I feel this would suit a keyboard desk
setup more. Many other designs in this style tend to have a
fair bit too much going on in the middle for my personal
preference, thus I really wanted to strip it back and evoke
that serenity. As such Ive avoided adding further elements
to the sky, to avoid distracting the keyboard being the main
feature of the set-up. There’s a beauty in simplicity.
Ive
been recently exploring Nordic themed keycap concepts (Mischief
&
Northern) and this came about whilst around playing with deskmat
concepts.
