Hi everyone!
It’s my great pleasure to present to you the GMK Retrobot.

Inspiration:

GMK Retrobot is inspired by deep colors theme of the vintage/retro scientific art styles from 40’s to 80’s. Curiosity, creativity and imagination of human about the future where technologies such as artificial intelligence and robots became the iconic topic for these art styles in this earlier era. These art styles consisted mostly of red, blue and yellow with scientific scenes like outer space, other planets, etc..These art styles showed how human depicted robots in the future with their imagination and creativity through painting, movies, animations, etc. in this earlier era.

After receiving RAL K5 color deck, I tried to tweak the render lighting to match the actual colors from the RAL K5. These are far from perfect but I hope you get the idea.

  • 8/11: Changed the base kit according to feedback.

  • 8/12: Kits and alphas/mod colors messed up -> added more keycaps to the base kit, re-rendered and changed images.

  • 8/13: Added 1u ALT, 1u CTRL, “" key with mod color, “`” key with mod color, yellow arrow accent to the base kit -> Re-rendered the base kit and rendered some images of the keyset and added under “renders” sections. Proposed a light alphas kit for more options and rendered some images of light alphas with base kit mod. Added additional information to the “Inspiration” section.

  • 8/14: Added more novelties, completed Spacebars kit

  • 8/15: Fixed novelty enter alignment, updated render with novelties.

  • 8/21: Removed white armor kit (see the update at page 2), added new renders of base kit, novelties and spacebars kit
