I have been working on a numpad/macro-pad that fits a niche
I haven’t seen filled yet: open-source PCB, support for the
QMK firmware, and no microcontroller board necessary.

Here are some photos of the latest prototype:

USB numpad with standard layout, extra keys, and
macro support. Will support the QMK firmware on launch.
Requires 21 switches (MX, Alps, Choc), 21 keycaps, and a
case (can be used without a case).
STM32F103C8T6
microcontroller, USB-C port. Access the bootloader by
holding backspace (top-right key) while plugging in the
board.
Features include:
- Full n-key rollover
- Standard PC numpad layout for keycap compatibility, with an extra row spaced 1/3u up.
-
Fully programmable, with macro support and Fn key.
I have not designed the case yet, but the final group buy will include one. The interest check form has some questions about cases.
The price is targeted at around $20-25 for the PCB.
